Jack Blades (Night Ranger/Damn Yankees)
Biography
Jack Blades first rose to prominence in the ‘80’s powerhouse band Night Ranger. He later started Damn Yankees with arena-rocker peers Ted Nugent and Tommy Shaw (of Styx). Tommy and Jack continued to collaborate after Damn Yankees as Shaw/Blades. Damn Yankees’ 1990 hit “High Enough” remains one of the most popular and recognizable monster ballads. Blades song catalog reads like the who’s who of late twentieth century rock: Aerosmith, Ozzy Ozbourne, Cher, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, and many more. These songs have graced soundtracks to blockbuster films such as Armageddon, Wayne’s World 2 and Tommy Boy.
