Marti Lynn Dodson
As the lead singer and chief songwriter for rock band Saving Jane, Marti-Lynn has been a frequent presence on the Hot 100 with pop hits like “Girl Next Door”, a RIAA-certified gold single and a BMI-award winning song, as well as the follow-up, “Super Girl”, which also became a Top Ten hit at Radio Disney. “Girl Next Door” was included on the platinum-selling NOW That’s What I Call Music 20 compilation, as well as becoming a theme song for MTV’s “Tiara Girls”, while “SuperGirl” was a theme song for both Olympic Gold Medalist Nastia Liuken and auto racing star Danica Patrick. More recently, Saving Jane’s “Better Day” was featured in the end credits of the Fox TV movie “Truth Be Told”. Marti-Lynn has made national TV appearances on Regis & Kelly, MTV, and cdUSA, toured with Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, and The Fray, and been featured in Teen People, Billboard, and the Wall Street Journal.
In addition to her work with Saving Jane and her new band, Union Rose, Marti writes frequently for other artists in Nashville, Canada and Europe. In fact, “Girl Next Door” was a single for country artist Julie Roberts, while “SuperGirl” went to the top of the charts in Canada with Suzie McNeil. She’s contributed to the new Christian release from Blessid Union of Souls, penned the television theme song and first single for German Popstars act Some & Any, and has cuts on South African group NKD and Japan’s Take Off.
